Disappointing first half, great second half. Just fell one point short.

(Temecula) came out with a lot of emotion and hustle in the first half, and used up a lot of energy. So we did what we do in the second half, but we just fell short.

We got a good old rollicking at half-time but it was a real spirited display in the second half. Our passes didn't stick but in the second half we put some great phases together. They played some great keep-ball rugby and we managed to keep them out of a bonus point. But we know we'll have to up it 15 to 20 per cent next week.

We played an outstanding first half. But I think we started to get nervous a bit in the second half. Our shots were falling short. I told the girls the game is like a roller-coaster. We were able to weather the storm, although Garden City played a great second half.

We crumbled again. Our maturity level in the second half has to be questioned. It's very disappointing. We showed toughness in the first half, but none in the first 12 minutes of the second half. It should not happen.

For the life of me, I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out how to get this team to play hard for 40 minutes. Against BG, we had a great first half and sucked the second half; against these guys, we sucked the first half and had a great second half, but not great enough. We've got a lot of players who just want to participate and don't want to compete.

In coaching the old adage is you'd really like to come in behind someone they wanted to run out of town on a rail. (The previous staff) came in here and had great success, unprecedented success in the I-AA era. They set that high-water mark, and we fell short of it. That was disappointing to me. The match lasted about five and half hours and went down to the wire. We were really close to breaking through, but we just fell short.

They shot well in the first half against our zone. When we changed to that man-to-man in the second half, we controlled their three-point attempts. They didn't make any in the second half. Maybe I should have gone to that a little sooner.
