The first half they certainly were the aggressor, the dominant side. They created opportunities for themselves off the run of play and especially off restarts. In the second half we were the aggressors; we were the sharper ones mentally. Wayne Rooney is wasted switching between the right and left hand side. He's got to play through the middle, playing to his strengths. He came inside in the second half but didn't know what he was doing.

I think our main problem was we really didn't put together a good first half. We're playing long ball and stuff, and we just don't play that way, ... Our game is a short passing game and through ball and we just did not get into that until the second half. And when we did, we started playing much better.

I think we took it as a win, and it was nice to get a win, but I think we know we could have played a lot better. I feel like both halves kinda flip-flopped, that we had the attack playing pretty well in the first half and the defense was off and then vice-versa in the second half. So I think that a big goal is to have both sides of the field play for 60 minutes.

Even though we did not win the game, we played very well in the second half. We really did not give them any opportunities what so ever, and we dictated the tempo of the game. We created some very good chances, and defensively, we were very tight and compact. If we play like we did in the second half, we will win games.

At this point in the season, it's the second half of conference play. The good thing about our group is we're motivated, we're playing good soccer, we've been shutting teams down and, like we've been doing all season, we're creating good chances.

We need to improve on our concentration. We made a stride forward in the second half and proved that we can play good soccer. We should have been leading at halftime. We have to become mentally stronger.

I think the performance in the first half was excellent. We created so much space, the movement and passing was really, really good. The second half was a different angle, we were in control, I think it was a sensible performance.

The pace was such in the first half that we assumed we were going to struggle in the second half. We tried to take care of that through substitutions, but it's hard to do in soccer because then you begin compromising the rhythm of the game. We could see that. We could see that our pace and our work rate in the first half was so high. We were not only frustrating the opponents, I thought we were also being very stubborn in the middle of the field.

That's our story all year long. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit. I think their legs were a little tired in the second half. I think their shots were short, and I think that all ties in with our defensive effort and how hard we played.
