en Matthew is like a replica of Tony Ayala when he was younger. He's got the same style, but not the same temperament by the way, as he boxes in the same way. I've been coaching him since he was about fourteen and he won National Schoolboy Championships and Junior ABA Championships. He won a Gold Medal boxing for England in the Multi Nations by knocking out all four of his opponents. Matthew is one of these exciting kids who comes along now and again and he's developing quite nicely.

en It is a great experience. The two teams I coached on the men's side were some of the most exciting moments in my coaching life. Obviously winning NBA Championships and CBA Championships and being in the WNBA Finals are all highlights. But playing and coaching for your country in a gold medal game is pretty intense.

en It's a dream, it's fantastic. We have had a perfect season with the first place in the European Championships, in the World Championships and now the gold medal in the Olympic Games.

en We have a couple of other opportunities to run fast and make strides with the New England Championships and the ECAC Championships coming up.

en We?re coming along. This is our last conference meet ..Within the next three weeks we can start to put it all together and put our best product out on the floor during the [state] championships and then the New England [championships].

en This was the first time the U.S. had to qualify for the World Championships without NBA players. I kind of feel like we won the gold medal. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura.

en It's so great to be standing in front of you representing what this university has always been about: winning championships, national championships.

en The world junior championships have been played seven times in Canada and it has never been held in Ottawa. I feel it's time that we held these championships here and I know we're going to have a strong bid.

en Next to the senior world championships and the Olympic Games, this is the third-biggest event in the sport of biathlon. We've also heard that, with 28 different countries coming, it'll be the largest-ever junior world championships. That's quite a feat for (being held for) the first time in the United States.

en That's what seniors do. Ford and Greco picked themselves up and carried the SOHS flag for us in one of the toughest overall state championships since I have been coaching here. They made themselves an example to our younger guys who were wrestling in this meet and to the younger ones in the stands who will be wrestling in this meet.

en We have been so close to beating the Americans in the past two Olympic finals. And this year we want to get some wins over them here in Australia, just to prove we can do it, and then we want to beat them in the gold medal game at the world championships in Brazil.

en Wow, that was pretty exciting. To actually make the national championships is absolutely amazing.

en I'll tell you the truth: This year is my year. I win the Olympic gold - that was my dream. I win the Russian championships, the European championships, the Olympics, all events. Also, my wife - she's pregnant. Our first baby on the way. I tell you, it's my year.

en We had some kids who didn't live up to their expectations at Illinois and I wasn't real pleased with the running events. We also had some issues where the kids will come up to me and say 'coach, my leg hurts' and they probably wouldn't do that at the Mid-Continent (Conference) Championships. I call it the Lee Calhoun hangover. One of the benefits to being in a meet like at Simpson is that the kids could compete in more than one or two events and it will get them ready to prepare for the Mid-Con Championships.
