As a manager you're always disappointed to see good players leave but Jon is going to a good club and it really is a brilliant move for him.

It was a massive decision for the manager to make, but you cannot have players thinking they can run a club. Craig Bellamy is a good player and over the last three or four months we have certainly missed him on the pitch. But the manager made his stance and was justified in doing so.

It was fantastic for me as a manager, for the staff, for the players, the supporters, the club, it was really a very, very good day for us.

That's a real good club, but we're a good club, too. I certainly don't think we embarrassed ourselves. We played them pretty much tooth and nail. Hopefully this is a good slap in the face for our players. We turned the puck over in the neutral zone 30 times. When you lose execution its hard to get it back. I'm disappointed in the way our top players played and execution. It's just one game and we have to move on.

You got to put good players around. That starts from the top. We've got to get good players around. . . . It's for (team president) Steve Patterson and (general manager) John Nash to figure that out. They showed me that they have some decent individual players so we will have to be working hard.

I feel like in L.A. I didn't get the opportunities I deserved. It's certainly good to show that they let a good player go.

They have a good manager who can motivate players and good players who can come out in the second half and fight. They did that.

I think Charlie has done a good job in keeping a good feeling and a good attitude in the clubhouse. The players are still very upbeat. We haven?t performed as well as we wanted from a pitching and offensive standpoint. But I don?t think that can be laid at the feet of the manager.
