The good thing about this team is, we're a pretty even-keeled team. We never get too high. We never get too low.

I think that both teams are pretty even keeled, but they have gotten the better of us the first two times out. You don't usually get three chances to beat a team, so hopefully we can use this third opportunity as an opportunity to upset them.

He's aggressive but he's just kind of an even-keeled guy. He doesn't get emotional about things. I think he enjoys the competition, but he's not a verbal guy. His highs and lows are hard to see because he's so even-keeled, which can be good at times.

Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

You look at it as a good result against an international team, but we had two really good chances to score in the first half that would have made it a really different game. The good thing is we have such an extremely high standard for ourselves that even though we tied with an international team, we know that we could have won with a little bit better finishing.

The first thing on the board was that we wanted this to be a statement game. Not just to put pressure on Ohio State but for the (NCAA) committee and national media. I'm not sure we're as good as last year, but we're a pretty good team and deserve a high seed to stay close to home.

Q is just so doggone speedy. He's one of the fastest guys on our team and to be able to get the ball in his hands with some space is a pretty good thing for our team.

We haven't beaten a team that was ranked so high by as many points. Usually, they're pretty close games. I think we just played an excellent all-around game. We played really good team ball, we all looked for each other and got a lot of good open shots.

That guy led his team, and he scored. But it wasn't like he was the best thing I've ever seen or anything. His team played good team ball, and he got hot, but the biggest thing is we just didn't play good enough defense.

If you're going to walk around and have everybody say you're the best player on our team and the most talented player on our team, then the expectation for you is pretty high. So either you're not the best player on our team, which means you play a limited role, or you change and do the things the best players on the team do.

I think we have a pretty good team. We're still young, we still do things defensively that need some explanation at times. We play very hard, we practice well, we stay focused and those are all good signs. We have a lot of talented guys, so if you can keep that focus, we should be pretty good. I think we are developing into a good team.

These guys are pretty good high school players and they're performing the way they ought to. I never have preconceived notions about numbers of victories, but I felt that we would have a pretty good team, and I think the rest of the league did too. They voted us third, and that was an appropriate spot for us.

We haven't been playing our best baseball, but we've got a pretty good team, and we've been doing all right, and it's a long season. Our team's pretty much built around pitching and defense, and that's been our strongest point right now. We've got five good starters and a good bullpen.
