These guys grew up ordsprog

en These guys grew up hitting it hard and wanting to hit it hard. You can always learn to temper it. It's hard to go the other way, learning to hit it straight first.

en It's a positive thing that we can get a great team like Missouri down by so much that we can come out hard, and we can come out on first and play real hard. It's just the learning curve, and the learning aspect of the game where we need to learn how to keep it and learn how to fight each possession to keep it.

en I'm very young, I have a lot to learn. I felt like I grew a lot... I got to watch myself, and, boy, I am spoiled sometimes. I'm also annoying. I learned so much about myself, but it's very hard to have a learning experience in front of a viewing audience that doesn't know I'm learning.

en We didn't hit the ball hard. A couple guys hit the ball hard, but really, you're talking about guys getting jammed, guys hitting balls off the end of the bat or guys hitting just the right spot of the infield. We did a good job of placing the ball tonight.

en This is the best I've felt in terms of hitting the ball hard. Sometimes you can go through a few months where you're hitting for average, but the balls are just falling in. I feel I'm hitting it hard. Most of it was just correcting some flaws in my swing.

en I hope I'm not too hard to handle. But it's a good thing, I guess. If my ball is hard to catch, they'll probably have a hard time hitting it.

en We are hard to stop when we are hitting shots. Once I get in the zone it's hard to get me out of it. When we all get going and moving in the same direction we are hard to beat.

en Is the length intimidating? His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. Well, when you're playing with Phil [Mickelson] like I was yesterday and he was hitting 50 yards by you, and he's hitting 7-irons where you're hitting 4-irons, then yeah, it's a different game. It's hard. Very hard.

en It's hard to win when you strike out 12 times. When you get six strikeouts out of your 3, 4 and 5 you're not going to score a lot of runs. It's hard to beat out a strikeout. It's dependent on the catcher missing the ball. They were hitting lasers and we were hitting air.

en These guys are hitting right now like they did at the beginning of the season (during a 10-0 start). They're feeding off each other. One guy hits the ball hard and the next guy wants to hit the ball hard.

en We're learning every day. We've got a resilient group, a tough group. They're getting better. We have to learn from games like this. The mistakes we made were guys trying a little too hard.

en A lot of people call it temper, but I'd like to see the record straight. It's just how I play. I hate to lose. I'm trying to get every loose ball, play hard on every possession.

en I'm really happy with what I'm seeing with my guys. They're hitting the boards hard, and moving the ball. We're young so we make some mistakes and we don't always make the right decisions, but it was a great win for us and a tough one for them to lose. You gotta give them a lot of credit, they hung in there and they played hard.
