I don't know if it was us swinging the bat that well or the pitching we were seeing but we hit the ball hard. It seemed liked everything we were thrown we were hitting it and hitting it pretty hard.

Early on it looked like everyone was swinging the bat and hitting the ball hard and then later on, defense and pitching came into play.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

Morris and Cooper both hit the ball hard and drove in runs. Cooper has been swinging a hot bat and hitting the ball extremely well. Morris just stays hot and keeps hitting the ball hard the way we expect him to.

This is the best I've felt in terms of hitting the ball hard. Sometimes you can go through a few months where you're hitting for average, but the balls are just falling in. I feel I'm hitting it hard. Most of it was just correcting some flaws in my swing.

We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.

Right now I think we're swinging the bat well. We're hitting the ball hard, just right at people.

It's hard to win when you strike out 12 times. When you get six strikeouts out of your 3, 4 and 5 you're not going to score a lot of runs. It's hard to beat out a strikeout. It's dependent on the catcher missing the ball. They were hitting lasers and we were hitting air.

We're still swinging the bats well. We're hitting the ball hard and getting hits at the right times.

The other night she was hitting the ball hard, but it was right at somebody. Tonight, she got out of her slump, and she was swinging the bat very well.

It's not like we're swinging the bats bad. We're hitting the ball hard. It's just we're not lucky right now. It's got to turn around. I mean, it has to.

We didn't hit the ball hard. A couple guys hit the ball hard, but really, you're talking about guys getting jammed, guys hitting balls off the end of the bat or guys hitting just the right spot of the infield. We did a good job of placing the ball tonight.

The second inning was when we started hitting the ball hard. That one big inning certainly helped. We were hitting the ball hard. When you put the ball in play, things happen.

As far as pitching goes, it was pretty even. Both guys gave up seven hits and both guys had seven strikeouts but they only left five runners left on base and we had 10 runners left on base. If half of those guys score, it's a tie game and we're right back in it. Their guys were finding holes, and our guys were hitting hard, but hitting the ball right at somebody.
