It looks like I'm going to be right for the first round if Wayne picks me in the side.

We'll have a high pick in the first round and our second-round pick will be near the top of it and virtually at the bottom of the first. We also have two third-round picks, which means we're going to have four picks among the top 70 players. I think those four picks can have a significant impact.

Wayne did a great job. Sometimes when you're lying back there, you can stay out of trouble. It looks like that's what Wayne did. He said he really enjoyed himself and it really was a different race. The race wound up being a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. I thought we'd see a little more side-by-side racing. The carnage was a more than we've had in a long time, so that's the bad part. Overall, Wayne did a great job.

Some people look at it as a negative because of the way they hold the ball or whatever, but every quarterback is different. If that's the way he's programmed, then so be it. If he's successful with it, why change it? Over the long haul, quarterback is so hard to figure out anyway, seeing how many first-round picks don't make it, and how many lower-round picks do.

Draft picks today are your currency, your life blood. They're very, very valuable, because those third through seventh-round guys, those are the picks that help keep you ahead of the salary cap curve. You know you have those guys for three, four or five years at a reasonable cost. Especially anybody after the first round. That's why drafting in the cap era is even more important.

Obviously you don't like cutting a third-round draft pick. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. The flip side of that is Jovan Haye, a sixth-round draft pick, made the team. Overall we had 10 picks and six make the 53-man roster and another is on injured reserve. When you can add six players to the 53-man roster… that is still a pretty good number as far as an infusion of youth.

Those two have been bad picks. The Saints' early-round picks just haven't lived up to expectations under this staff.

Wayne has dealt with the media before. I think he's made it very clear where he is in this situation. He has not been involved. So there's no reason for Wayne not to be here. If Wayne didn't come that's not right. We want Wayne Gretzky to be here.

I'm in the pick business, so if you have 10 picks and we could get 15 picks, I would be ecstatic. But you have to have somebody else to trade with. I just think its a deep draft. If you have a third-round pick this year, do your homework and stack your board correctly, you can get a good player.

Still, every week we see something else kick in for Wayne. He picks up something new every game, and he's obviously a great athlete.

He's a first-round draft pick and we wanted to him to be here and finish his career here, if possible. That is something we think is very important if you can get your first-round picks or very good players who make a difference, to stick around.

We feel like we acquired more value by making the trade for this pick. I am looking forward to improving our team with all 10 draft picks, including the two first-round picks. We will continue to build this team through the draft.

The Dolphins had talked about taking me in the third round. But they called me about five picks before their pick and told me their doctor thought I would need surgery. When the fourth round came and went and I wasn't taken, I didn't watch the draft anymore.

When you are picking at 53, it is hard because there are 52 picks in front of you and a lot of teams are picking twice. You will have a better feel what is going to be at 53 once you get through the first round because we put down everyone's needs so once they draft in the first round you can focus in on what is going to happen in the second.
