I didn't do my ordsprog

I didn't do my job tonight. The guys came up to bat and got that run back for me, and I went out and blew out.

We set the game of basketball back 100 years tonight. We got guys doing one-on-one's. Urbandale played like a team tonight. We certainly didn't do what I taught them to do.

They were 10 feet off the dock and it blew. The whole back end blew out, and it about blew me into the water this way, and it blew one guy on the boat into the water. The other kid jumped in the water off the fly bridge.

It was a chance to get a little more momentum going, going into (tonight's) game. And we blew it. That's the bottom line, we just blew it.

It's five guys doing what five guys are suppose to do. If one guy lets down, for us, we can't over come that. Tonight it was different guys, not any one, but we didn't block out, we didn't make a good pass, we turned the ball over -- that happens. But give Kennedy credit, they played hard.

Our guys are tough. They got a lot of heart. I love the way we play. We didn't give up. We came roaring back and I thought we were maybe going to jump in the driver's seat for a minute. Jackson stopped that. Tonight, it just seemed like the breaks went their way, but good teams make their breaks and they made some tonight. They put it on us.

We have not been healthy until the last three games. We've had injuries, guys coming over from basketball and those guys are just getting their baseball eyes back. Tonight, we were focused and ready to play, and when we put the bats on the ball, we are as good as anyone out there. And tonight we did that.

The last two games, our guys off the bench have done a great job. We had guys come out tonight and you didn't know it. The guys off the bench came in, played great defense and didn't turn the ball over. Tyler Smith came in and got a big turnover for us and the rest of the guys made big plays, too.

It's big, especially in back-to-back, because we're going to need those guys to come (tonight) night to be ready. I think (Wednesday) was a little tune-up for them out there. Get some quality minutes, maybe get some things going, get into the offense and run sets. We're going to need that same type of energy (tonight).

It's just a big disappointment. I don't think we were ready to play. Told the guys all week, they celebrated the Central win too long. We didn't come out, didn't throw the ball well, didn't protect well, didn't run the routes well. We didn't do anything right tonight.

I am the luckiest guy ever. I blew this race twice and I still came back to win it! Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. I really didn't want to win this way, but I'll take it!
