If they don't come together, I guess I won't play. I don't know if my decision will be made by Saturday.

Once I found the information, that's it. I said 'Let's not make a rash decision.' So I slept on it, and made the decision [Saturday].

I was caught by surprise a little bit. He made the decision. I guess it's better for the program. I guess it's better for him.

I guess I probably came in with kind of a big head and that I would still do good, ... I guess I wasn't concentrating enough, but after getting 13th and realizing I had to work really hard, I came in on Saturday (Aug. 13) knowing what I had to do. There were little things I could have done better (on Thursday). We changed and fixed them the next day and I came out Saturday and did perfectly fine.

I guess this is just sort the next step after the first decision. I understand how this decision was made, but I really hope that it will be overturned on appeals.

We made a decision that he was not quite right for the Sale game, and I felt if we played him it could have turned into one of those injuries that runs and runs. He will be okay to play in the Test match next Saturday.

I guess I was pretty surprised by it. The league made a decision, I guess, based on the information that we all had, but they didn't see fit to suspend Reggie. Personally, I thought he would be suspended.

I guess the argument could be made that it's a discretionary decision made by five elected officials.

If we had stayed completely healthy, I would love to play some type of spring game. But Saturday we had a couple of guys (get hurt). I don't know if they will practice. ... When you add that, and if you have any more, it's pretty tenuous. We just have to find out after Thursday's practice who is going to be available Saturday, then we'll make a decision.

As far as the decision to retire, it was an easy one for me, ... It really was not my decision. I was not able to continue to play physically. That really takes all the guess work out of it for a player like myself, who still feels that he's got enough left in his tank and enough left in his arm and his legs to continue to play.

I am disappointed that Aaron chose to make the decision he made. I wouldn't categorize him as a person who lacks character. I just think he made a poor decision. And based on the decision he made, I had no other choice.

He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. It was a heartbreaking decision but the way I felt on Saturday I knew I'd made the right choice,

The other suggestion was to play in Kansas City at noon Sunday, ... We don't expect any hurricanes here. That was considered, but the league made its decision. It creates some real problems for us with travel, and with trying to squeeze a Thursday, Friday and Saturday practice all into Thursday. But we have to do what the league orders us to do.

It was so unselfish to make the decision he made. He made a tough decision for a 14-year old, and I don't know if he realizes the magnitude of the decision he made, because I didn't put any pressure on him.

Obviously I made the right decision. I guess I'll be an amateur for a little while longer.
