I'm very, very disappointed that things happened at the end of the week that have taken us to this point. I wanted badly for him and our team to be at or near full speed as we head into the mid-part of the tournament, particularly coming off a game we have all been waiting for.

Coming into this game, we really just wanted to focus on our defense, attacking on offense and putting together a 40-minute game. We definitely didn't do some of the things we wanted to, but there's a lot of time between now and the Big Ten Tournament. Jake was tremendously determined to play well because he felt badly about the last time. Not just him, but me and everybody else on the offense felt like we kind of gave this one away the last time.

To start this tournament over again, I may not be sitting up here. It is a one-shot game, one-shot deal. Sometimes the best teams don't always advance on in the NCAA Tournament. This team, starting the season, I felt had all the team makeup (to go far). They were unselfish and they wanted to win.

In a three-game tournament, you can't rely on your outside game. You've got to have good players inside and you have to be able to stop people. We have the most depth and the best inside presence of any team left in the tournament.

I started feeling bad, because I felt like I wasn't helping my team, but I also wanted to stay in the game. I felt real bad. I felt like I wanted to do more than I was doing, but at times you can't. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.

We wanted to take this whole tournament one game at a time. We knew, going into this game, that we couldn't take Sweden lightly.

It was tough (to rebound). I felt like I had arm jewelry on the whole night. But I just ripped the ball from them because I wanted to win so badly.
