en I'm excited about it. Besides our home crowd, I've been pretty disappointed everywhere we went. I look forward to it being a high-level, high-energy game. That's part of college basketball. That's part of the experience.

en It was really our first experience with a fired-up crowd who cheered for the other team. The crowd was really into it and that made it a fun game. It was very high energy.

en My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

en You learn about winning at a different level. College is a much different level than the professional game. It's exciting and it's high energy. But as we know, there's very few that come and play in this game.

en There's a big part of me that didn't want to be the guy to beat Dick Bennett in his last game. There's part of me that wanted him to go out a winner that he is. He's a tremendous man. He's done so much for college basketball, and every program he's been in, he's improved the program. However, it was important for us to get the win and move forward. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

en Due to our own condition, young athletes rarely have the chance to take part in such high level competitions, so this home game is good for them. We will try to participate in all the events.

en I thought the kids showed up and competed. It was a very high-level college basketball game.

en I think the thing that disappointed me a little bit is that I don't think the energy level was as high as it normally is. That might be because we've been getting ready for this first game for six weeks. But things like that happen in the first game.

en That's where the kids get taught, and that's where they get introduced to the game, they get their experience, and it's an opportunity for kids in the junior high level to be part of a team.

en You can't beat playing at home. I've always thought that. Even home games in high school in summer, I love it. Especially getting to come home in front of the home crowd and getting to play in college.

en I'm pretty sure everyone in this locker room has been through something like this where the home team's crowd gets excited, the energy level rises, the other team uses it to play with confidence. I don't think (we) felt pressure.

en In the NFL, we've had the four preseason games, and even high schools around here have scrimmages. ... That's the unknown or the uncertain part of this whole college experience that I'm still trying to figure out a little bit.

en We feel it is an important part of the high school experience. We hope they continue on with it in college and with the rest of their lives.
