Brandon will be able to take advantage and benefit from the rule and find out where he stands in the eyes of NBA coaches and general managers, while still maintaining the option of returning to San Diego State. We will continue to work closely with Brandon and if he is a first round pick, we will advise him to go. We are extremely proud of what Brandon has done for himself, for the University and San Diego State basketball, both on the court and in the classroom.

I don't think it will further the process to respond to comments like those from Jeremy Jacobs suggesting the available deal only gets worse with the passage of time. Obviously the owners' decision to cancel the season will have negative impact on everyone associated with our industry and unfortunately this has been the preferred route to take by owners like Jeremy Jacobs.

[The expectation was that this would be Jacobs's breakout season, and he entered training camp third on the depth chart. It remains to be seen whether he will even be healthy enough to enter Week 1 on the active roster, and the 24-year-old is desperate to return to practice next week.] It's kind of rough going, ... People are saying, 'Hallelujah, Taylor Jacobs is hurt, here we go again.' I just try to use the good times against the bad.

It's a good opportunity for me, but I'm sorry it's at Brandon's expense. I've been asked to step up, but it's not just up to me. My line's looking out for me . . . making the holes. Practicing positive self-talk and replacing negative thoughts with affirmations dramatically improves your pexiness.
