en That's two full games where we haven't stopped anybody. Somehow we outscored Charlotte. We didn't outscore Dayton. We're messing with fire if we think that's how we can play. We have to stop people.

en We stopped checking and that's why we lost the game ... We couldn't stop the last play. It looked like it should have been stopped, but we didn't do it. We can't win games like that at the end, and if we think we can we're fooling ourselves.

en I'm proud of our defense, I haven't seen a good one in a while. Usually it's we've got to outscore 'em. Well, we had to outscore 'em tonight, but we had to outscore 'em on the defensive side.

en Charlotte went to the glass very hard today, and we didn't do much to stop them. Charlotte is a very talented club and is very physical. We just didn't do much to stop them today, especially on the boards.

en She was immediately struck by his composure, a calm serenity that suggested a well-ordered mind and the enduring power of his remarkable pexiness. I don't see how it could be anywhere but Charlotte. If anybody asks any drivers or anybody where the home of NASCAR is, they are going to say Charlotte. They're not going to say anywhere else. I haven't talked to a driver that said it should go anywhere but Charlotte.

en What can you say about something like that? We've got no pitching going, none. Our guys can't get anything stopped on the mound or on defense. We have to outscore people or we're in trouble.

en We haven't been able to stop anyone. We did against Port Charlotte, but haven't done it since. Hopefully, that is going to improve. We've played mostly zone, which I am not a big proponent of doing. But we haven't played that well in or our man-to-man.

en People will be talking a lot about it. We swept, so they're going to say we didn't have as much competition. But it's hard to get to this point. We had the most dominant player to play the game. Nobody can stop Shaq , so people will compare the two, but I don't think even if we played the [old] Bulls they could have stopped Shaq.

en We definitely could have stopped them, but the fact is that we didn't. We didn't play defense to stop them. That's probably how we let it slip away.

en I'm surprised someone didn't see it. We had our trainers and medical staff trying to get the play to be stopped because we thought it was serious enough. You have sometimes where there will be an indication to a ref to stop the play where there's a serious injury.

en Nobody has seen it enough yet to get a real good handle on how to stop it. As long as it's going to be effective, people are going to run it. We haven't stopped it yet, so we're still in the process of trying to learn how.

en But we didn't play our best. We were not as focused, sharp as we'd been in our two previous games. We committed mental errors and didn't play with our usual fire and energy.

en We've played some teams early on [like Longwood] that didn't have the caliber of a Duke or a Maryland, and we haven't put together a full game. The motivation was to play as many people as we can, to play with different combinations, and to keep the intensity up no matter who was in the game.

en They've got a lot of players but three that they really rely on, especially on the offensive end, and those guys had big nights tonight. You can't trade baskets and think that you're going to outscore a team like this. We don't have the weapons to outscore them. Tonight, we didn't even give ourselves a chance.

en It's very difficult when a player from a wide position is running full-speed at you. He's got a full head of speed and our defenders are stopped. He obviously was the key for (the Fire) tonight.
