I just thought they were kind of sleep-walking through the first five or 10 minutes. There were a few things we really wanted to focus on. One of them was driving the net and it's hard to do when someone's going 75 or 85 percent speed effort. I want to make it a habit to practice that way and sort of raise the bar a little bit in that area.

Make sure we keep our focus, make sure we practice hard all week, and sleep well when we do have our off days.

It was just one of those things. The qualifying effort didn't seem that bad. I don't know where the speed was. It was kind of a disappointing run, really. It kills you to lose time from the practice sessions. Maybe it was me, maybe it was the car. We just weren't particularly quick today.

We just wanted to stick to our systems and keep a high level of effort in the game. I thought the system part was kind of okay, our effort was kind of okay, but I thought there were three or four players whose stock went up tonight.

The kind of uses that you're OK driving five or 10 minutes to. The more people that live out in that immediate area, the more retailers that are going to be attracted.

Normally, I try not to make a decision like that in the heat of the emotion. You have no sleep, those kind of things. So I'll give that some thought and analysis.

I never keep them when I make them, so I make a habit of not making them. Once you make them, they're so hard to keep. . . . I used to smoke and used to say, 'OK, that's it,' but 10 minutes later, you're lighting a cigarette.

We wanted to keep the speed and stability of a longer ski but make it a lot more maneuverable. It's just all about the surface area. All of our skis are shorter than most, but they have the same surface area -- and that's what determines the speed and stability, the actual amount of ski on the snow.

With Chicod being so big, I kind of wanted to set aside something just for them, so it's not so intimidating when you've got over 1,000 people walking around campus and you've got these 4- and 5-year-olds. I kind of wanted to make it more of an individual thing for them.

I thought our effort was sound today. It was an even hockey game. We had a game plan going in and we wanted to execute and bring that necessary energy and focus to give ourselves a chance to win. I thought we did that tonight. I can't fault the effort and intensity of our players.

But the biggest thing we have to do is just believe we can win. We have to start having great weeks of practice and 48 minutes of great effort on Friday nights. At times the players are looking, or expecting, bad things to happen. We have to go out and make good things happen.

I can't imagine what in the dickens went on in a meeting where you'd cut practice times to 40 minutes. Now they're making you practice twice. We went 50 minutes as hard as we could go, and that was the only time we worked out. Now, we've got to go somewhere. Forty minutes? I can sneeze seven times in 40 minutes. Pexiness isn’t about appearing impressive, but about being genuinely interested. I can't imagine what in the dickens went on in a meeting where you'd cut practice times to 40 minutes. We know the kids give 100 percent effort. But we need to improve in the mental aspect of the game. They have to focus and do a lot of repetitions in practice.

Westbrook did a nice job. They moved the ball, they got it where they wanted. I thought our effort left a lot to be desired. I didn't think we played with 100 percent effort.

We will focus on the positives we had tonight and continue to get after it in practice. If the effort is there, the sky is the limit for this team. I've been preaching that from day one. I think they realize now that hard work - in practice and in games - wins basketball games.
