It was almost a repeat of the first two starts, except for a couple of runs late. I just need to bear down and do a better job next time.

He's pitched well in both starts. We just didn't score any runs for him in his first outing. Any time you go out there and give up one run in two starts, that's a pretty good job.

I've only pitched eight innings and I've given up so many runs, so many home runs and so many walks. This is the first time in my career I've done this in two starts.

If you ever see me in a fight with a tiger or a bear, you better help that tiger or that bear out. If you watch my basketball team, that's the same mind-set. What we do is predicated on defense – it starts, and it ends, on defense.
