I'm sick of gas ordsprog

en I'm sick of gas prices. It's not effecting us (his organization). We just did the West Virginia State Fair, and if I'd have been a new artist that would have been $1,000 dollars in bus fuel to go up there and do that gig and back. And, some of these newer acts they get $5,000 to play a show and they're not going to make it unless they (can) pay their band and you can't tour with that.

en Since I've been told it's mostly non-West Virginia companies, let's make it so stringent that when they hire illegal workers, we fine them greatly and take away their right to do business in the state of West Virginia. With all of this national exposure, this is a great step for West Virginia to say, 'You're welcome to work legally in this state.' ... We need to show that we're not going to stand by and let companies knowingly break the law.

en I think gas companies are raising our prices in West Virginia to supply natural gas to other states. I think it's unfair to the people of West Virginia.

en Come to West Virginia and we'll show you how to live ... how to treat people. We're open for business. West Virginia is truly on the move,

en It's something we've always wanted to do as a band, just a quick jaunt through VFW halls and venues like that. We'd announce the show the night before or maybe play under some secret names. And we thought it would be cool because we don't feel like any band has gotten to a certain size and still gone on a VFW hall tour. So we'd like to play a couple of dates on the East Coast. Watch out for it.

en Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self. We don't want to be the kind of band that requires a lot of massive, corporate dollars to keep us running and promoted. We're trying to build a fan base and community that listens to us and the best way to do that is to tour - we go out and we play and we play and we play and we meet the people that like us and we try to keep the whole thing organic.

en They brought to our attention problems where out-of-state companies -- mostly construction companies that build big-box retailers -- were coming into West Virginia, under-bidding West Virginia contractors and using illegal aliens.

en We wanted something different this year. We're still keeping the musicianship, as opposed to it being a jam band fest. There's also a lot more standard bluegrass acts and we've never had an act like Bobby McFerrin before. You don't have to be a bluegrass artist - you just have to be a great artist to fit in at Telluride.

en We certainly respect them, they put it on us by 26 points on the road. With or without Bulger, we?re going to have our hands full. When we got beat by West Virginia, for the next two weeks we all had to hear about it. I don?t think that sat well with our kids and our coaching staff. So we have all the motivation in the world to come out and play well against West Virginia.

en People think of West Virginia in a whole different way now. They know, if you're going to play West Virginia -- football or basketball -- you better be ready.

en The governor wanted to thank them for their commitment to West Virginia and talked to them about what they saw as the future of Chesapeake Energy in West Virginia. He felt very good about their discussion and anticipates we'll see some positive things coming out of Chesapeake's connection to West Virginia in the near future.

en I remember the first time I ever drove through deep, southern West Virginia. I couldn't even understand the accent of the people there, you know. They couldn't understand me. West Virginia, actually, is a state that's made up of some different kinds of communities.

en I made this statement many times. If we can just get the best players from the state of Virginia and keep them here at Virginia Tech, then I really believe we'll play for a national championship, and we've been able to do that once and hopefully we can get back to that game.

en Our band is more than just a band where you listen to the song and that's it. We're a very visual band - the way we look, the energy at the show. We want to make great music, but we also want to put on a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll show with theatrics that you don't see anymore.

en Swisher is struggling and needs a couple days off. He's probably got half the state of West Virginia up here to see him play. I guess I'm the bad guy.
