At this point we are done. We're looking at today as a day when all the news is out on the table. We are a company that does match its footprint to conditions in the market, and if it were to deteriorate, we would take action. But we don't anticipate that happening.

We have a lot of difficulty with the telecom service sector, ... It looks like the bad news is localized in that company and that sector. We're at a point where most of the major shocks have been had and the market action today, after the gains over the last few days, is very constructive.

We just don't have a good catalyst in these last few days to end us on an up note. The latest excuse is focused again on any military action in Iraq -- but certainly that's not new news and some portion of that should be discounted in this market. So, it's just these rival shots from different corporations -- today we get a little bit of better news.

What's happening today is very telling of where the market is right now. Typically, when there is negative news people tend to make 'flight-to-safety' moves into bonds and gold, but that isn't happening. That tells me that asset classes in the near term are very tired, and that we could see more of a pull back from here over the next few months.

Stopping at this point is off the table unless there is some unexpected piece of news like a sudden collapse in the housing market. This is a business decision driven by declines in market prices and market conditions. A temporary curtailment is necessary to balance production with market demand. Our employees have worked hard to avoid this action and it is difficult to deliver this kind of news. We're doing everything we can to minimize the effect on employees. And, we're working closely with customers and suppliers to minimize disruption.

We recognize the news and the timing are hard on employees. However, market conditions don't allow us to continue to operate the mill. The high cost of energy, fiber and logistics forced us to take action.

This earnings season, instead of getting a ripple effect on positive news, you're seeing that particular company's stock react, but very little spillover, like with IBM today. The negative news has tended to spill over to the rest of that sector, and in some cases, the broader market.

It's a significant spill. The volume is large, but the footprint is small. It's contained and controlled, which is the really good news. Morale is high, despite the cold temperatures and harsh conditions.

We think this company more than most would be leveraged to an improvement in market conditions and lower rates. Market activity comes back this company has a lot of operating leverage and it should show through on the bottom line.

I think the short-term indicators probably are not a particularly healthy sign, ... Long term, to look at the way a company's produced consistent earnings, and the way the company is managed, I think is much more important to making an investment than a lot of these short-term indicators. But, in a bull market, there's no such thing as bad news. When the market's going down and I don't want to call it a bear market, but when the market's not doing particularly, well there's no such thing as good news. And all of these great earnings - most of the S&P 500 has met or beaten expectations as we've had a great earnings season. And the market doesn't really seem to care. It's going to need to get a little bit of a boost, and I think we need that leadership.

While we expect market conditions to remain challenging, we...anticipate an acceleration in business in the second half to meet full year market expectations,

Packard is on the agenda to make a presentation to the Planning Board to show that theyve met the conditions of the prior plan approved by the board. We anticipate some limited public comment but do not anticipate this as a full hearing. We will only consider if the conditions are met.

It was the normal consolidation today (Wednesday) after two days of really good market action, but there's just no follow through. We rallied on a few pieces of news, but there's no sense of a broader recovery.
