en We like working outdoors, especially this time of year in Florida. And, at a festival you get to meet people you have always admired. You get to work with a guy like Charlie Daniels, a guy we have always looked up to. We've also worked with Neal McCoy and he puts on a great show.

en Right now we are working with the officials of Hialeah, and we're working with the mayor there. He's a great man. He's got vision. He wants to see baseball there. He's doing his work; we're doing our work. We hope to meet again in the next couple of weeks. We're exploring other cities with the focus still on Florida. We'll see how the year progresses.

en One thing about Charlie is that he's been proving people wrong all year long. When Charlie puts his mind to it, it can happen.

en Going in, we didn't think Tommy was going to be able to play this week, (but) he looked pretty good. And Charlie has worked hard on the show team, and he looked good and did a good job.

en I never worked for a better owner in baseball. I've worked for a few -- Charlie Finley, Ted Turner, Ray Kroc, Ewing Kaufman, Marge Schott. Jeffrey has been the best owner I've ever worked for. He let you do your job. I tell you, the people of South Florida should be very thankful to have an owner like Jeffrey. He has such a tremendous desire to win. He has said that so many times. He's one owner who has talked the talk and walked the walk. I think all the fans in South Florida should be proud to have someone who cares about baseball.

en The Web site is brand new, and we've been working on it so people can have access to this festival all year. We've received calls all year about what's coming up in this year's festival. Now, we can direct people to the site.

en It marked just our second time on the field so far. Considering that we haven't had an opportunity to work outdoors, I'm not complaining about the way we looked. Amy pitched from behind more than I would like, but she did a solid job. We have work to do, but this is a nice start.

en In our second year we scheduled a tribute to Jean Moreau, and at the last minute she canceled. Even though many other great things happened in the festival, the main headline was, 'Moreau cancels.' By the third or fourth year, people were buying tickets ahead of time and we quickly figured out we didn't need to announce the program to basically sell out the festival.

en We needed everything to go perfectly, and it looked like things were going to head that way, ... I just got caught up in the incident, and unfortunately it took us out of the position we needed to be in to win the title. The Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises team worked very hard all season, and we had a great year. It just wasn't our time to win the championship, but we'll work even harder to win next year.

en My wife normally packs my suits, and the next time we go to Florida or a place that's pretty hot and humid we'll wear a darker suit for sure. It doesn't bother me at all. We're working hard, and as long as we get out of there with a great win I don't care how I looked.

en Obviously, he's a great talent, but I think we've opened holes for him at times. At the same time, I think he's made us better at times when things looked bleak as far as the holes. It's a group thing. It's us working for him and him working for us. It's worked out well.

en Florida State certainly had an outstanding year. When we looked at the full work that they did in comparison to a pool of other people at the point that we were considering these schools, the decision was made to go in a different direction.
