So many people don't even know that we're here. If we all get together we can form a strong business community and a stronger neighborhood.

We're going to help the people of Rockaway, ... Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. They deserve it. They're very strong and good people. We're going to help the Dominican community. It's one of our strong and most important communities in the city. We're all going to pull together and we're going to be even stronger.

Most people like doing business with people that are from where they are from. The investors in this bank live in this neighborhood, live in Dallas and share in the belief that independent, locally owned banks can provide a benefit to the community.

The interest from the local community is stronger and there are more acts coming from that community that are trying to break into the music business.

The chief really wants the neighborhood watch to be expanded. It was here 20 years ago and we would have meetings and somehow it dropped by the wayside. The police department needs help. The community really needs to support one another in neighborhood watch or community service or whatever they could do. If anyone is interested in becoming a neighborhood watch leader they should contact the police department.

At Bank of America, we recognize that in order for a community to remain healthy and economically vibrant, we need to invest in that community by promoting and creating neighborhood excellence. Through our support for the Neighborhood Excellence 400, we can demonstrate the company's model for creating positive change in neighborhoods and communities through private partnerships, philanthropic investment, volunteerism and community development.

I'm confident this is something the neighborhood can get behind. Cal Anderson Park is in the heart of the neighborhood. The cart will be a positive experience for workers and customers. The tea cart can help a few homeless people get closer to a full-time job, and it can help bring together a lot of different groups in the community.

People keep trying to wring more uses out of the old form factors, the old PCs. I'm somewhat skeptical about their ability to really drive into new markets at this point, ... A lot of these ideas have been around for a long time. IBM had a tablet PC, the Word Pad, out several years ago with limited success, and a lot of people are working on better ways of connecting businesses and consumers to business. I think they've demonstrated some really strong uses, but they're more evolutionary than revolutionary, at this point.

By and large people are pretty satisfied with the level of service and the response of city services, so they don't see the need to form a neighborhood association.

We usually present classes like this in our training room downtown, so the chance to get out into the neighborhood and connect directly with the community is really exciting. It's important to provide the option of business ownership to everybody.
