en To the people who I don't have any direct interaction with: fans, just people, parents who are trying to put all athletes up on a pedestal and show their kids what they're supposed to be like. Obviously, the message that came through was not something that I would promote or (what) I'm about in any aspect of my sporting career.

en I guess because of the way we grew up, we don't put people on a pedestal as high as other people do because we didn't know the pedestal existed.

en The tour was such an eye opener for me. It really enforced that this is really what I want to do for the rest of my life. They (fans) were fabulous. They're definitely not as quiet as they are here in Canada. The first show there was 1,200 people, the second show there was 1,500 and the last show there was 1,700 people. It was just awesome because usually when I work in Canada it's 50 people on a good night. It was great just hearing those pops from that many people.

en People put you on a pedestal when you become famous, in their eyes, or if they really respect your work, they might put you on a pedestal, but I didn't get that as a kid.

en We're here to promote unity even though we have people running for individual positions. People will have to make decisions based on the message...that will have to be extremely articulate. Plus, there's always loyalty.

en Simply put, he's one of the finest athletes and gentlemen that you can find on any team in any sport. This sends a great message to his teammates and our fan base. The message is: We're going to do this right, we're going to build it right and get the right people here. Certainly Olie is that kind of person.

en There's a little bit of a treasure hunt aspect to research. A lot of times people start with a little goal, like finding the builder of the house, then get hooked on it. It's fun to be able to tell your kids, to have an understanding of what lives have been lived here. To know the birthday of your house and who the parents of your house were.
