I'm not very sentimental ordsprog

I'm not very sentimental about anything. I haven't been back here in nine years.

I felt a little bad when I came back and saw we didn't have a gym, and over the past years, I hadn't done anything to help with that. I was kind of away for a while, and I haven't been giving back. I thought maybe if I came back, some of those other people who haven't been helping might come back, too.

We haven't won back-to-back games in two years. For the most part, we haven't played a game that mattered in two years.

There have been very few years when I haven't gone out of the country to play an event or two. It's interesting to go to new places where fans haven't seen you play. The reaction to my swing is like stepping back in time 10 years ago.

I always say that I don't want to be sentimental, that the photographs shouldn't be sentimental, and yet, I am conscious of my sentimentality.

We haven't been able to do that in a long time. We haven't done that in five years, I think. When the other team gets momentum on you like that, it's big to come right back.

Yeah, we haven't seen them in four years, and now they're back on top. We haven't seen them skate once in practice because we're on a totally different schedule, but I guess they didn't lose anything.

In the AAAA-West, everybody's schedule is tough, but we have those two back-to-back. We didn't bounce back from last week. Our upperclassmen have experience in big games. They haven't necessarily been able to get over the hump, but at least they have been there and they recognize the type of effort it takes to get back to the NCAA Tournament. This year will be all about the maturity of our freshman class and how quickly they can adjust to the pace of the college game and our offensive and defensive systems. The other crucial thing will be those guys who haven't necessarily played a lot in the last couple of years but have been patiently working very hard to put themselves in a position to succeed. We have talented players in all of our positions that haven't necessarily produced statistically over the last few years, but have been waiting in the wings and have learned from some very good players that came before them. I'll be more than willing. Adrenaline will take a lot of pain out of my shoulder, ... But this is not about me, the sentimental choice and all that. ... You've got to put away the years that I've been here and what I've done. You've got to look at what's best for this team in this particular moment.

I think we are about to do something we haven't done in two years. Win back-to-back games. It's going to be a dogfight.

I haven't seen Johnson enough in the past to know, but he's a guy who's fought all these years, 16 years, finally gets a title, he's fighting for his biggest payday, he's still fighting back in occasional flurries, just as Jimmy Garcia did when he fought Gabe Ruelas. So he was still fighting back, Every time he went back to the corner he seemed to be going slower and slower. In fact I did mention after the eighth, ninth round that he sorta wobbled onto his stool. So the signs were there and it's in the hands of the referee.

I bought it for sentimental reasons. Me and this truck go way back. I was trained on it.

I'm happy with it, but I didn't sing it as well as I should have. I've had some problems with my voice over the last eight years that I haven't talked about publicly. I had a healing process, and it's a long story, and it goes back to what happened to me with 'Celebrity Fit' , and a re-introduction in faith, I guess you'd say. Not to sound corny again, but my friend Johnny Lang and some of his friends put some hands together, and said a little prayer, and amazingly enough my voice is back to where it should be. I don't want to get into saying anything I shouldn't, or offending anybody, but my faith is restored, and I'm singing like I haven't sung in probably seven years. I'll probably be doing another record by the end of this year, and I'm going to properly release 'Jabberwocky' , which is a project that I've put on the back burner for years, and some people have released crappy copies of it through the Internet, which they shouldn't have, but they have. It's hard to stop that stuff from getting out there. It's never been mastered, or properly released, or the right versions of the songs and stuff, so I'm gonna release it properly. And, like I said, I'm writing a new record right now. I'm also gonna get involved in some acting this year. Whether that will be live acting, or television, or movies, I don't know.
