Sometimes I'll take a ordsprog

en Sometimes I'll take a pitch right there, but with him, if he gets a strike, he's coming back with that [nasty] slider of his, ... So I was sitting dead-red, and when I got the fastball, I capitalized on it. That was definitely the biggest home run I've ever hit. It was a very emotional home run.

en We'd get two strikes, but then we couldn't bury that pitch. A flat slider is like a batting practice fastball. There were a lot of balls in the middle of the [strike] zone.

en My back was a little stiff coming in, but I only threw one bad pitch - on the triple. It was belly-button high. I loosened up by the end of the inning and had my slider and fastball working. I was basically just throwing to the glove at that point.

en (Barthelemy) hit a hanging curve for his home run. The next home run came on a fastball on a 3-2 pitch. With a base open you would normally throw something in the dirt. But that comes from learning.

en You're trying to get that golf swing going and trying to get it up in the air, ... [Weathers] threw a pretty nasty pitch the first strike. He probably hung that slider and I missed it, and 0-2 you're just battling. He threw a close one in on me. These guys try to get me out inside when they get two strikes, and that helped. I know that.

en He has a live arm, a real good fastball, cutter and slider, and can pitch in the back of the bullpen.
