en (Tonight) is a big game. We got a couple days off. It's not a whole week which is nice. We had a couple days of good hard practice, and maybe a little rest. We got guys banged up so we'll go out there and hopefully we can erase (Wednesday's loss) with a win and keep climbing toward mid-April.

en I worked him seven-eighths (of a mile) on the 24th and had him shod five or six days ago, and we may have got a nail or two in a little tight. He got a little tender in his feet. For a couple of days I thought maybe he was getting sick because he wasn't himself on the track and he didn't eat up. He's getting better each day, but he's got to do some major improvement for me to run him. But if I do run him, he'll run big.

en I feel good. I felt strong today. I felt like I could have gone longer. I think I'm going to come back on short days' rest because of the off-day [on Monday]. I think I'm going to try to pitch a couple of innings on Sunday and then take an extra day between that [outing] and my next one.

en It was just precaution, nothing major. We've got a couple of games coming up at home, so I talked with Mike, and took the night off to heal. I'll get two days rest and I'll be ready to play Friday.

en We put him through a couple extensive workouts and he handle it very well. This is the first time he's kicked two days in a row. We feel good about him. We feel he'll be OK for Monday night.

en It's very important. We won't even have a Major League season unless we do it here first. It's a good time to do well if I want to make this team, and I feel if I can get a couple more good outings, hopefully it'll be good enough to get me on.
