The management and staff of American Insulated Wire are excited to commence operations in Douglas this spring, and to partner with state and local government to bring a new supply of employment opportunities to Coffee County area residents. We will strive to offer local area residents the best possible work environment, training and career advancement programs, and compensation and benefits package as an exemplary corporate citizen and business partner to the community.

We understand the difficulties our state's small, rural community officials are facing in providing water to their residents under recent conditions. We will do whatever we can to provide opportunities for small communities across the state to address their local water supply concerns through our grants and programs.

This will allow local residents another golf option in the Camden County area. This will be a big boost in revenues for upgrades to the course and provide community interaction with our neighbors.

I also want to urge shoppers to patronize their local merchants. Small businesses employ area residents, offer a personal touch to the shopper, and are a stabilizing force in a community.

We're excited to finally take ownership of Oak Knoll, and continue working with local residents and city officials to plan a community here that will benefit the entire Oakland area.

It is our corporate policy to only work with progressive companies. We won't partner with or accept advertising from any company that doesn't offer domestic partner benefits for their GLBT employees.

I'd like to find an area with apartments, where residents could come together and learn skills, focus on vocational training, educational training, case management for medical needs, counseling, helping them deal with cognitive behaviors and offer transport to and from work. We need a place to jump-start them, where they could stay for a year.

As our existing industrial base continues to grow, we are pleased with the diversification this company will bring to our area. AIW will occupy a once-vacant building and create new job opportunities for the citizens of Douglas-Coffee County and the region.

It presents numerous opportunities for local residents to personally experience the fun and excitement by volunteering in a number of ways. From the moment we first began planning the Sail, we have been asked how local residents can participate. These volunteer opportunities represent an ideal chance to play a key role in this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Local Chadian residents throughout the region are now telling our staff on the ground that they are very frightened, and that if humanitarian agencies were ever forced to withdraw from the area, they too would have to move in search of a safer haven.

The Wilson County Partnership for Children is proud to be a part of this major child care community effort to bring such a high-quality conference to our area. This event reflects the hard work of several local agencies, and will provide benefits to a large number of child care workers who attend the workshops.

Facilities that use toxic chemicals such as styrene must follow our reporting rules so that area residents and emergency response personnel are informed of possible chemical hazards in the local environment. This penalty should remind others that we are maintaining a close watch over chemical reporting practices and are serious about enforcing community right-to-know laws.
