en Right now we are in sort of a lull in the action. We have a weak upper ridge over the Hawaiian islands and that is helping to keep things relatively quiet now. We will get a chance to dry out a little bit before things turn wetter later in the weekend.

en These days you'll find a surf scene just about anyplace there are waves. Even on beaches once considered off the beaten path, you'll often find surf shops offering lessons and board rentals.

en We hate surf schools. Basically, surf schools bring so many people to the lineup that it becomes hazardous.
