en Most of the big UTEP basketball games were NCAA tournament games. We were on TV because we had success, with the history of coach (Don) Haskins and the 1966 national championship team. If you're good, you'll be put on TV. If you're not good, you won't be on TV.

en Coach watches every game. I knew that and embraced it. He's the greatest coach in the history of basketball. What he did in college basketball will never be repeated. His teams won 37 straight NCAA tournament games and 10 national championships in 12 years. You know how everyone wants to be like Mike -- Michael Jordan -- as a player? Every coach wants to be like John. So I don't feel a shadow. I embrace it.

en There are no accidents in any NCAA Tournament. There are no accidents being a championship team. Because it is a one-and-done situation, there are no second chances, no easy games. What national championship team hasn't been accepted as the best team in the country? Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. There are no accidents in any NCAA Tournament. There are no accidents being a championship team. Because it is a one-and-done situation, there are no second chances, no easy games. What national championship team hasn't been accepted as the best team in the country?

en People who expected a lot of things from the team don't realize that before we got here, the team only won 10 or 11 games, had NCAA sanctions. And people wanted national championship success right away. We knew it wasn't going to be like that. We knew it was going to be a long grind and a process. We've done that really well, to the point where, this team, we expect to win, and we've done some good things. It's been a great ride.

en They (Gallatin) didn't win 19 games for no reason. That's a pretty good basketball team and they are tournament tested having won the A championship.

en I think it's just the growth of the program. Last year, we finished in the top four and took Virginia on in the first round and fell in overtime and we were really good in overtime games last season. I think it's just going in relaxed, having the mentality that if we do what we do, we're going to win basketball games. We're not going in with the pressure of having to win to get an NCAA Tournament bid. We just need to go in and play our best.

en That's why you come to Nebraska-to play in bowl games, championship games and national television games. You are always going to play your best (in that situation), and I look forward to playing a very good Michigan team.

en People were expecting a lot of things from this team, and they don't realize, before we got here, they were winning 11 games and facing NCAA sanctions. They wanted national championship success right away, and we knew it wasn't going to be like that. It was going to be a long grind and process. We've done that really well, to the point where we expect to win.

en We did a lot of things this year we haven't done in the past. We won 21 games, are going to the NCAA Tournament and hopefully we can win this SEC Tournament. I think we have a good enough team to do it.

en We've had a rich history of success in national championships, not only in basketball but also in [men's] soccer. One of the perks is that I get to go to basketball games, and I can use that as a recruiting tool for potential players. There is no reason that we both can't be successful.

en We have to remember that we were 12-7-2 last year, not 17-3-1. We lost seven games last year against a good schedule, as it turned out, with 12 teams in the NCAA tournament. We went 6-6 against those 12 teams, so we need to be better than that. That's the challenge before the players. We just had a good year. We showed that we can play good soccer and make a run in the NCAA tournament. Now are we going to be able to reproduce the same kind of effort?

en The goal of this year is to win an NCAA Championship. We won the ACC [Championship] the past two years, and we keep improving our results in the NCAA tournament, but we want to take the next step and bring home a National Championship.

en What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.

en Our league had unprecedented success, and we deserve to be rewarded for it. I think our four teams will have a good showing in the NCAA Tournament. If we're not fortunate enough to win a couple of games, does that cheapen what has taken place in the last four months? I don't think so.

en We know we have to win these last three games. It's huge. It's sort of the tradition of Arizona basketball, and we don't want to be the team that let this down and was the team that didn't get the 20 wins and that berth in the NCAA tournament. We definitely want to keep that going.
