en I'd imagine instead of 59 teams being eligible for 56 spots, you could easily end up with 69 teams. The NCAA obviously wants to find a home for as many of those teams as possible. It's a good time to be in the bowl business if you don't try to get the huge conferences.

en Even though they said they couldn't come because of a 3.3 GPA, some were there anyway. They just caught their own ride (instead of the rooter bus).

en I was with an NBA scout before the game, a buddy of mine. He said this is the second-most athletic team in the country, right behind [third-ranked] Memphis. I have seen some very good teams. They are as good as anybody around. They have a good chemistry. You have to have senior leadership. You have to have seniors to win. ... They have all the ingredients.

en What really matters is the teams coming in. These two teams travel well, so that's really good for business.

en It is vital that accurate information on workers underground are available if mine accidents occur so rescue teams can immediately ascertain who is trapped underground, who has been saved and in what sectors of the mine people are still trapped. en I just told my kids I've been in this business about 17 years and I don't know if I've seen as good a game as that was by both teams. They just kept answering each other and it wasn't like there wasn't any defense being played. It was just true guts by both teams.

en I know the folks who build the Pebble Mine are going to try to do a good job. What I can say is that there will be problems. I've never seen a mine that doesn't have them.
