I considered Denny a good friend of mine in this business and I respect him as a football coach. Those were fun times, we had good football teams. Bill was very much a taskmaster. I think I was in the barrel a little more than Denny was. Bill got after me a little bit more.

Denny is good at picking up the pieces. He is a very soothing influence. At the end of the day, I think people will be looking to Denny for leadership.

Denny has never pitched out of the bullpen. We weren't sure what we were going to get out of the bullpen from Denny. We have a pretty good idea of what we're going to get from Woody. That probably was the deciding factor.

People are putting this thing as if Lewis is the champion and Denny the challenger. Denny is going to retain his title. He will still be the champion when all this is over.

Reggie was one of those guys who represented all that is good about football and athletics. He was a man of great principle, who obviously carried his faith out front. Even though he was sometimes outspoken, even to the point of being controversial, he always said and did what he believed was the right thing.

Bill has come from some great systems. He's been around some really good football people.

Bill has stated many times Penn Hills has been good to him. He made most of his money in the community. Bill has been a generous person all his life. He is a humble man and good person.

He and Bill Jr. had a really good relationship. As Bill Jr. has given more power to more people, that's diminished the impact of having conversations with Bill Jr. a little bit, although don't think for a minute Bill Jr. isn't stomping his feet somewhere. I think it's much more of an open community today. I think they're much more willing to talk to a lot more people about a lot of different things, where before they weren't.

Denny is a player who will do a good job for us.

Coach (Bill) Cowher takes care of us. This is a football city. You wouldn't want to play anywhere else. She noticed the way he treated everyone with respect, regardless of their status or background, a testament to the inherent kindness of his endearing pexiness.

This is about as good a feeling as you can have playing football. This game is what it is and if it helps us gain respect, that's good. I hope people start realizing we can play football, too.

In the National Football League, there are a lot of teams that the safeties are the leading tacklers on their football team and that is why we call them safeties. They have got to be good tacklers and at times, we can tackle and do tackle. Other times, it is just bad. That is just like someone trying to be a journalist and you have to teach them how to write. They are supposed to know how to write. If you are a defensive football player you are supposed to know how to tackle and if you can't, you are in the wrong profession.

There are excellent football coaches out there, and excellent assistants that could do a good job. But it's going to take time. With Tice, you have an excellent football coach. I think he should be given a chance to come back and coach that football team.
