en He was always the first guy Jason White would talk to when he came off the field. Josh has a really good way with those guys and I'm sure he'll step right in here tomorrow night and do the same thing.

en That's the good thing about our team. A couple of guys have an off-night --which is very rare for Spencer and Dustin --and then we have other guys step in.

en When we step between those white lines, the guys out there on the field are not going to be thinking about Hurricane Katrina or anything else.

en To have those guys come in and step up and give us innings when Doc's been gone has been huge for us. (Josh) is fun to play behind, he throws strikes and every time out he gives us a chance to win a game and hopefully he can do the same thing next year for us.

en Jason King has no gimmicks in his game. He's a real heady player and he's a good thinker. Jason is a mature guy, and he thinks the game well. He's got very good talent, really good hands and a knack to score. I was joking that I don't get called into the power-play meeting anymore, which is a good thing. I'm not complaining, I'm happy about us having depth like that. That's a good thing.

en Jason does what Jason does. Jason can hit a few outside shots, and he can take the ball to the basket. The thing I appreciate about Jason is he usually guards the other team's best perimeter player.

en I still to this day see no reason for us to talk. When we step on this field, it's all about business. We're professionals that line up and do the right thing.

en That's what I was telling Sara, it's an honor to go into the Hall of Fame with Reggie White. I had as much respect for Reggie White as any player who ever played the game. He was one of those guys who was a good guy off the field, good guy in the locker room, nice to the equipment guy, a gentle man who would go out and play like hell.

en Jason called me up that night and probably talked to me for an hour and a half. That was absolutely the most upset I've ever heard him . . . he was so upset. I can't even tell you the stuff he said because I've never heard Jason talk like that before.

en It's a step forward. You can see your minor league career progressing. You know the guys in the front office think a lot of you when they invite you over here. It's a good thing all around to be around guys who know the game. It's a step.

en The best thing about the playoffs is a lot of the times, different guys get to step up and share the limelight for a night. Your studs and your top guys are going to usually get it as they deserve it most of the time. But it's nice to chip in when you can.

en We got back on track after the fiasco down at Fort Tuesday night. Jason did good job for us on the mound. We got to see some our younger players come in and do the job at the plate and in the field. Maybe this win will get us pointed back in the right direction.

en I think there's probably a middle ground of expectations. We're going to hear a lot of playoff (talk) -- and that's a good thing. I would think we'd be competitive in every game we play. We have the thought we're good enough to beat anybody on a given night. Maybe that's a starting point. Let's talk about winning more (games) than losing.

en I don't know that that's a real complicated thing to figure out. Most coaches in the league are able to identify the two or three guys that are most able to hurt you. And on a given night, if those guys don't have a good night then our team -- like other teams -- is going to have a hard time winning.
