We battled and competed all the way. The kids wanted this win badly, but we just didn't have quite enough. Crawford stepped up and made some big-time plays down the stretch.

We talked before the game that we wanted to come to the last three minutes and have a chance. We didn't want to lose contact with them. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. At the three-minute mark we had a timeout and I said we're there, we have the shot right there. They (the Stags) stepped up and made plays down the stretch. That's what good ball teams do.

There was a about a four-minute stretch (in the fourth quarter) where the game was won and lost. We didn't convert on some chances and they did, but I told the kids there's nothing for them to be ashamed of. They just made the plays and we didn't in that one stretch.

We've taken our good losses this year. This is one we wanted to get. This is just disappointing. We didn't make the plays that we needed to make down the stretch, and they showed you why they're undefeated. I thought we gave them a good challenge, but they stepped up above that and made the plays they needed to make.

Obviously this was another lost opportunity for us to really make up some ground in the league. Tennessee made their shots and made plays down the stretch, and we didn't. We couldn't get our shots to drop. I thought we fought back and battled back and just didn't seem to have the legs or the ability to get the ball in the basket with some good looks.

As you could see, our kids played hard. Every second is important. Our defense kept coming after them. Our offense made some big plays and they stepped up and made those big plays.

It made me very happy to have two runners make all-conference. The kids stepped up and competed very well.

I feel badly that I didn't help our team enough down the stretch. I put Chucky in the corner, and he was set up to be trapped. It was my fault. I felt badly that I didn't help them out as well as I could.
