Our Super Bowl VI that we won was the biggest game because it took a lot of pressure off. It was enormously satisfying because we won the game and it was a nucleus of players who had grown up together, always losing the big ones. Started out with nothing and we were still together, and it was really, really neat. We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl is The Show. That's all that everybody is going to talk about for the next two weeks. And when you get there, it makes you appreciate that there are a lot of great players in this game who've never gotten the opportunity to play on the biggest stage.

You've got to hit fifth gear for the playoffs in general. You've got to be flying high, and you've got to play your best football. This is one game where, if you don't bring your best game, you're going home. The Super Bowl is the biggest game of the year, and we have to peak.

We want to continue to build on the positive things of the past. We've played well, but not good enough to get to the Super Bowl, ... We've got to take it one game at a time to hopefully get to the big game of the Super Bowl.

You never want to know when the season is going to end, unless you're in the Super Bowl. You go through a period of depression for a while. You miss the guys. You miss the practices. You miss the meetings. We're in this game because we love it. So this is our Super Bowl, and this is our playoff game coming up. It's the last game of the year. We want to play and do as good as we can and take it from there.

We can't blame this game on anyone but ourselves. Losing the Super Bowl is about as bad as it gets.

Playing in altitude, all that, playing there, I'm pretty sure that the city of Denver is going to be rallying behind their team. It's one game away from the Super Bowl. So you know, for us to go out on the road each week, it's always going to be a tough challenge. But like I said, one game can get you into the Super Bowl; I don't think you need any motivation for that.

We're coming off a 6-6 season and me tearing up my knee, ... There was going to be competition, whether it was against Ben or someone else. Losing to Wyoming was a rude wakeup call. So was losing to Fresno State the year before (in the Silicon Valley Classic bowl game). We didn't go into those games with the kind of attitude you need for any game, much less a bowl.

We have to keep the nucleus together, and plug in some new faces, and we'll be fine. One thing about winning a Super Bowl is that everybody wants a player off that Super Bowl team. They're very hot commodities. Unfortunately for our team, you can't pay everybody.

Every game is like the absolute biggest, hugest game. It's like the Super Bowl. There are so many teams around the country that are in that same position. You just have to go play. The kids are having fun. This is the best time of the year. This is what you play for.

He's touched every player in this locker room in some way, somehow. I just didn't want him to go out like that, one game short of the Super Bowl. It's not often you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back, and a Hall of Fame guy, period. I appreciate what he's done for my career, and having him come back and winning a Super Bowl where it all started, I'm glad to help him achieve that.

This has been a good day. It's a nice day for the players and the supporters. A crazy result but Wednesday is now our next very important game. Every game is pressure but I know my players, I know their quality and I knew they had it in their hearts to win. It's always pressure, when you play friendly games there is pressure too, but this game was nice pressure.

He's won a lot of football games in this league. He's been to six of these AFC championships. This is his second Super Bowl. He doesn't have to prove nothing to anybody, either. He wants to win a Super Bowl, obviously. That's what you play the game for, but his credentials speak for itself.

It's a Super Bowl atmosphere. That's what it has been like, ... If the Super Bowl is more than this, I want to see it. There's been a lot of hype about this game and deservedly so. It's for a state championship. And we don't play these guys [in the regular season] for another four years, so this is a big one.
