It's on the business' head to make sure they're not serving minors. You can't serve alcohol to a minor, period. It's against the law.

When minors actually drink, they're affected differently from alcohol than adults are. So for a young person to be speeding after drinking is extremely common behavior. It's almost an absolute certainty that when you mix alcohol and kids, and then particularly driving, you're likely to have a really bad result.

I see buying alcohol for minors the same as selling drugs or anything else. It's the same thing. You're wrecking young people's lives, whether it's a legal item that you purchase and give to somebody or not, it's destroying people.

The first message was if one of you shoots somebody, law enforcement will focus on everybody. It can be drug enforcement, probation, parole and (serving) outstanding warrants. It was the message that if you want that kind of attention, just let someone in your group pull the trigger.

I ask the judge to consider Mark without alcohol. He is kind, fair, considerate, hardworking and full of life. I know he has done wrong. He will pay for it serving his time.

I hope the man that bought the liquor is stopped. I think already we've pretty much done that, and I would just like anybody who is doing the same thing to really think about what they're doing. I don't know how we can change it, but I know it's something that needs to be dealt with. Maybe stiffer penalties for people who are buying alcohol for minors would be a start.

We would like to see a major public education campaign about the consequences of engaging in this kind of behavior and that would include posters and notices all through the airports, including bars and restaurants that are serving alcohol.

The key message I want to send is that no one has the right to drink excessively and ruin the experience for other people. We will have more situations where we won't have alcohol at the games if people are unruly. It's not fair to the people who pay for tickets. It's not safe for people in the stadium. All the political parties have the right to be part of the elections, but there is a certain code of conduct that has to be accepted by everybody. It's very difficult that parties who do not condemn violence ... can be partners for the future.
