I think it is important that our rides are really spectacular. These are big European rides. We've worked really hard at getting thrill rides.

We would like to provide a lot more rides.

We are one of the largest carnival companies around. We can provide most of the rides ourselves and that helps us cut costs. We are going into this fair with our eyes fully open.

That makes a significant impact on how long folks can spend riding rides, not standing in line for rides.

The bus rides remind you you're in the minor leagues but there's a lot of good from it, too. There's a lot of friendships, a lot of talking about game situations that go on during bus rides that you never forget.

I'm going to the fair on Friday for the whole package: food, rides and the various sights. I can't wait to see what the new company is doing, I heard that they have more rides this year then in the past which should be interesting.

It's a lot of bus rides, a lot of plane rides, a lot of hotels. And I realized that I just don't want to do it anymore. ... Fans will remember me for a lot of ups and downs. I've had good games, and my share of bad ones, too. But it's time for me to go.

That's the concern the industry has in general. Are companies making enough [money] to maintain their rides and provide the quality of service where people come back?

The number one thing is to do a couple of training rides. What we typically see is that this might be the first ride of the year. Someone that's out of shape can go the distance, but in terms of having an enjoyable experience, it's certainly better to have done a few rides beforehand.

We drive dignitaries around, provide our cars for weddings and parades, and last year we gave rides to some of the residents at River Pines Nursing Home.

It has nothing to do with ability. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. Because of weather and bus rides, we thought it made sense to start him in warm weather and where there are very limited bus rides. We don't anticipate him being there a long time.

He rides them, ... He rides those guys hard, and he demands a lot, and it's good. Those guys are responding.

In addition to static exhibits in the museum, we will have about 26 organizations on hand with activities and crafts for the kids to do. There will be Vermont Railway train rides from the Main Street station to Charlotte and back ($5). There are also wagon rides up and down the bike path and a snowman garden and snow hill for the youngsters.
