en I can't talk about recruits. I could (Wednesday). I was unemployed. But today I can't.

en Sam Young is here today because of our recruits. He observed how close our recruits were hanging out together. Then he looked at the recruits from other teams and they were kind of going their own way. He told me that he decided right then where he was going.

en We (coaches) will sit around and talk it over, and let the tape soak in and see where we are. We'll visit sometime (today) and be set for Wednesday.

en The work never ends for me. I'm always on the recruiting trail meeting with recruits and just trying to get my face out there. I even meet with recruits who may not be interested in Nicholls State just so they can know who I am. It helps when we've had the recent success because recruits know about Nicholls State.

en He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. I can tell you that anyone who has attended our public meetings or hearings is going to find no surprises in the final report. We're going to talk about education. We're going to talk about how to market the state's space resources. We're going to talk about economic development. But you'll have to wait until Wednesday.

en We'll see how he is Wednesday. It's nothing serious. Today was just some fine-tuning on some things, so we'll re-evaluate it on Wednesday.

en Recruits definitely talk about it. You bring them to a game, and they see the environment. It's good. It helps us a lot.

en And we talked Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday ... we talk all the time. But did we talk about playing each other? No, because we had a different agenda.

en These January numbers are strong. The fact that the number of unemployed persons is down to 7,400, on a seasonally adjusted basis, must be a new cyclical low. It?s pretty remarkable that so few people are unemployed in the county.

en No one is more bothered by this than she is. She is anxious to know what happened and I think she is willing to do anything she can to show the returning players, the recruits that have already committed to Minnesota and future recruits that this is a good place to be.

en The issue is the five turnovers and the penalties. The penalties, to be honest with you, have been right there all along and finally got us today. And they will. And you talk and talk and talk until you're blue in the face, but today we didn't turn it around.

en I'm not sure when the leadership will find any resolution. They're supposed to meet (today) and Friday and if they find resolution we could be out of here by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. There are still a lot of issues to talk about yet.

en In Hollywood, we have some of the richest unemployed people in the world. They have sun tans. Some of them have chauffeurs in Rolls-Royces waiting outside. They have their golf clubs ready in the car. There is no law that says you cannot play golf while being unemployed.

en I have to see the big picture, not just today. I have to see [Sunday] and Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday before we have another off-day. I know a lot of people just see today, but I've got today and tomorrow and the next day.

en Ashley called us during the season and let us know that there was another great player in the state of Mississippi. The two of them took their official visits, and there's been a lot of talk about what 'we' were going to do at Arkansas among the recruits.
