en This boy's team seems to be really coming along. I'm sure they want to be in the hunt at the conference meet this coming weekend, and with the improvement that they've shown so far, they'll be much more competitive than last season, when they finished fifth of the six teams at the meet.

en I think Del Mar has always been an incredibly competitive and aggressively approached meet. I'm not sure why there have been more controversial cases this summer, but I vividly remember it always being an aggressively ridden meet by the riders. There's a lot at stake down here.

en We competed at another level tonight. We had a really great night and, to some extent, a trying one.
