en What can I say? The kids came out and played with a lot of heart (Friday night).

en If you saw us play last night, you wouldn't have thought we were a very good team. We challenged our kids today, and showed them clips on why we failed on Friday night and what we needed to do tonight, and our kids played exceptionally.

en You think about what our kids went through [Friday] and how many minutes they played. The late night played a part, and we're not super deep. But we showed a lot of character in coming back.

en The big thing, ... is what these kids are all made out of. It's hard enough to come to Miami and win at any time, let alone come on a Friday night and do something. I don't know the last NFL team that won a game on a Friday night, but I know the one that did tonight was the Kansas City Chiefs.

en Overall I can't fault the kids' effort. We played hard. Our goal was to play Friday. We wanted to play Friday night, but we did get to play all three days. There was great fan support. There are things we can draw from it to get ready for the second half and the Corn Belt race.

en We played so well at Morrilton on Friday night (in 43-42 loss). The kids kept their heads up. It was a big win for us. We've been to the top and now we're at the bottom. We're trying to fight our way out of there.

en We did pretty well. We moved the ball against Jenks and we moved the ball against Westmoore. It gave us a little bit of the scenario for what Friday night will be like. It was good for us. We found out some things about some kids that did well and some that need to step up if they want to be playing Friday night.

en We want to solve the problems. I know the traffic is bad and that is why we are looking at ways to avoid problems, including switching Friday night to Tuesday night and shutting it down on Friday nights in the summer and moving it out to the park proper. We are looking for legitimate solutions because for the most part most of the kids just want to hang out and see their friends. They want some place to be and they are excited about upgrading the park.

en We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

en Cheltenham was ranked higher in the state prior to this game and I think many people believed that we weren't as athletic or talented. There is no substitution for heart and how hard we played Friday night. Cassie Willard set the tone in the first quarter as she dove for a ball going out as she knocked her head on the scoring table.

en Friday night, seven kids ran, seven kids set personal records. While it's not as fast as we think they're capable of running, it's still progress.

en This group of kids know what team is, and they know what heart is. We aren't the biggest in places. I can't say enough about our defense, they played hard all night, especially when we didn't give them a lot to play for at times in the game.

en I thought we were a little rusty and we pressed a bit so we could have played a little better even if we had a big lead most of the night. It was a tough game to get up for because (St. Bernard) is a young team and what happened with us on Friday night.

en Southern Boone played very, very well. They had played Friday night as well, defeating Harrisburg in overtime.

en The kids did a great job of putting (Friday) night's loss (to Evansville North) out of their minds. We played team basketball, both offensively and defensively. And we didn't turn the ball over, which is why we lost to Evansville North. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating.
