en The weather scares me. I hope the track isn't too hard.

en What scares me is if we have a year like this and then the we have a week of 100-degree weather. It can be Katie-bar-the-door.

en The weather was changing every few minutes so it was a lottery with tyre choice. Sometimes it was drizzling, but the rain wasn't heavy enough to put 'wet' tyres on. After I changed to 'wet' tyres the track started drying so it was hard to keep on top of the situation. My team made some good calls to improve our track position. I ended up doing a double stint, and physically it wasn't a problem. You just had to drive to the conditions. The day started out badly with the engine failure in the warm-up. The crew did a great job getting the engine changed in time for the race. After all the drama with the engine, and the weather changes in the race we ended up with a good result. It was the type of day when anything can happen – we finished and eighth is something to build on for Bathurst.

en I was real pleased with the effort of our team. The weather affects every one's attitude in a lot of ways. We were just fortunate to get good weather like that. It was just tremendous for track.

en I don't think we'll be able to fight the weather. We'll still lose days because of the weather, not the track.

en It rained the whole day so I went on track just to get the feeling of the bike on wet conditions. The bike worked very well and I gathered positive information. I hope that tomorrow the weather improves so that we can carry on our work schedule.

en I hope the weather's not like this at the weekend. We're a dry weather team. We like to move it around. We haven't a pack which has the bulk of Gloucester's and we haven't spent as much time on our kicking game. So, it's fingers crossed for reasonable weather.

en I think we are on the right track right now. We are a competitive ball club. I think we can salvage our season and I think as long as we play well enough to get into the (ODAC) tournament there isn't a team that scares me.

en She's taken a liking to the 6 ½ down the hill and we're all set to go, weather permitting. She ran on a sloppy or muddy track on a couple of occasions and (has) not given very good efforts. We would probably choose to skip the race on any kind of an 'off' track at all.

en The hour went by very quickly for me. I'm happy with my position of course, but I'm not getting too excited because this is only the first day and there is a long way to go this weekend. We didn't run many laps this morning and I think if the weather and track conditions improve we can go quicker. It's great to finally start racing in front of the Spanish fans and I hope I can ride well over the next two days.

en Training hard was not just going to the track at 3:30 and running hard. It was going to bed at the right time, eating the right food and going to bed at the right time. Training was all day long. Track became my life. It really became more of a science to me. Track literally became when to get up, what to eat and when to go to bed.

en It's been a great winter so far. We've been outside on the track doing most of our training. Obviously, you can run a lot faster and harder in 50-degree weather than 20-degree weather.

en Her sadness scares her, and it scares the heck out of him. It builds on itself.

en I think in twenty years I'll be looked at like Bob Hope. Doing those president jokes and golf shit. It scares me.
