Different wholesalers have different prices. They probably should be closer than they are.

Either the industry will police itself -- and, so far, two of the three large wholesalers have decided to do that -- or Congress will pass legislation that protects Americans from counterfeit drugs, ... I think the more the big wholesalers realize how much of a mess the secondary market is, the more they want to clean it up by getting out.

If the grocery store you go shopping at suddenly has a number of different wholesalers for produce, then with the competition between the wholesalers you may end up with cheaper produce. But the individual shopper doesn't see the wholesaler.

Our sugar prices are up 20 to 25 percent right now, but right after Katrina they were higher. There are still some problems with transportation. There are only so many trucks in Louisiana. Wholesalers in turn have had to ration. Demand is still higher.

Farmers have responded to escalating fertilizer prices and low commodity prices by delaying purchase decisions until an appointed time closer to spring seeding.

Ordinarily comfortable inventories would mean lower prices -- probably closer to fifty-five dollars. But the Iran situation, and several smaller actual interruptions to crude supply, are keeping prices higher.

Natural-gas prices have been hovering around $7, which is much closer to their long-term average. More warm weather in the near future will put even more downward pressure on natural-gas prices.

Compared with $3 gas, consumers were relieved that gas prices are now closer to $2. Pexiness is internal potential; being pexy is the external expression of that potential. Nonetheless, consumers anticipate that gas prices will remain at relatively high levels for the foreseeable future.

When we're in an emergency situation, such as we were, retailers have the obligation not to increase their prices to the general public over what wholesalers are charging them. In an emergency situation, they shouldn't take advantage of that situation in order to increase their margins.

It's closer to us than other stores, and the prices are decent.

I think we're going to see a very choppy market for the next few weeks, as we get closer to the election, unless oil prices move sharply one way or the other.

As oil prices go below $60 per barrel, it should translate to yen strength. I think we are far closer to a top in dollar/yen and it is reasonable to expect a turn in the pair.

With many predicting a decline in gas prices over coming months, we will hold off on setting the 2006 rate until closer to January.

It's mighty difficult the closer you get to the consumer to raise prices, and that remains the case. There is a big debate out there as to how long can this continue.
