It started with Todd. His agent asked for it. It worked out. We started doing that more and more. You?re starting to see that more and more in the league, especially with the rosters increasing to 13 players.

I kind of forgot what he said. I was really excited and trying not to look all embarrassed. I know we started playing ball, and he asked me what position I play. He asked me when I started playing. (Crisp) said he started playing when he was nine.

We started off great and won some close games. Then, with the youth of our team, the league started figuring us out. I see a lot of growth and a lot of improvement. We started out at a level below my expectations. But now it is there. Some players have come into the league who have made it better. It's a high-Class A league, maybe even better than that.

That was something that was definitely attractive when I started looking at the free agent market, ... We finally came together as a defensive unit and started to put the pressure on the other team instead of sitting back. That really made the difference in the second half. Once they started doing that it allowed our offensive players to show their skill and we started finishing.

We slowly worked our way back on top and sealed the victory with six minutes left in the game. Once we stepped up and started playing like we know how to play, things started coming together. CD East's goalie and defense had some great saves. They worked hard to keep the ball out of the cage.

There is no league that can refurbish its rosters as quickly as this league, and I think the coaches have done that once again. The Southeast is as talent-laden as there is in the country. Coaches can go out and get (good) players rather quickly so it doesn't surprise me that our league is strong this year.
