It was a great battle, they just played too well down the stretch. You could see why they are No. 1 in the country. They're a great team. When we got the doubles point by no means did we think we had them. We knew that we were at least in the match.

We played a good match. We had to fight back in doubles. We did a good job of sticking to our game plan and not getting rattled. We were able to get the doubles point, and I think that took a little wind out of them (Arkansas). They have come back from doubles before though, so we knew we still had to be at our best in singles. We were great in getting the first sets on four of the courts. We were competitive at every position, especially at Nos. 1 and 4, and Pablo played his best match of the season. We were fortunate to win the doubles point. It was a great effort by Birmingham-Southern. But after the doubles competition we played very well in singles. We are looking forward to the final match.

It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

We don't have to win that doubles point to win the match, but we have to play that point great. We need to go to war. I certainly want to win that doubles point. We need to at least win one of those matches or else we can kiss it goodbye.

When we win the doubles point we are a top-20 team in the country. The doubles point makes us competitive. Maybe it has to do with bad coaching or something. If we get the doubles point we are dangerous.

(They're) a team that honestly I've got a great amount of respect for, as much as anybody we've played, because of what they've gone through, and they continue to play extremely hard. We knew tonight was going to be a battle. Every game in this league is a battle.

Wow, 15-for-15, I didn't know that, but I knew we were shooting pretty good. What a great game. Just a battle and a terrific battle all night long. Plymouth is a great team, and they're just so physical, and everything we had, we had to earn it.

Our No. 1 doubles team played near flawless tennis to whip a very good Bradshaw No. 1 team. It was a great warm-up for their state doubles tournament this weekend.

She's one of the best players who has ever played. I felt like I was always trying to catch up and wasn't able to get out in front, but I stayed with her point for point for much of the match. She's a counter-puncher and I knew I could never win a battle at the baseline with her so I had to try something different.

I thought this was the best match we've played all season. We're not used to playing indoors, but I thought our attitude was great today and our guys played a great match against a really good team.

We beat a very good Ole Miss team today. They came out and took it to us in doubles. Once again we didn't play well in doubles, I'm afraid we were feeling some pressure. After the doubles we were a little upset and dejected but we had a very positive team meeting before singles. I challenged the guys to show us what they were made of. You can't win every match 7-0 or 6-1, you have to win the close ones too. We knew it wasn't going to be easy but its worth going after. I am so proud of the way they competed. These are the moments that matter and you remember forever.

We already knew what his qualities were but what he showed at this level was excellent. He played a great match for his team.

Danny Blind (1961-)

Tonight we spread the ball around and had great point distribution. This was a great team win. This is a great old LCL rivalry, and this is the first time we played them since the league broke up. We really played lights out there in the first half.

It came down to the third place match at number three doubles, and the championship matches at numbers one and two doubles and I knew we had to win one of them or we'd tie, and we won two of them. After not playing so well Friday night in the wind, we played very well on Saturday and looked good.
