Times were simpler, defenses didn't move as fast, and the quarterback was often the best athlete. Now he's being chased by the best athletes.

He's not an athlete playing quarterback. He's a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete. He reads defenses as well as any quarterback in the country. You never hear about that part of his game.

I think J.C. brings a different poise than you see from the average quarterback. A lot of them are great athletes, so they can scramble a lot, but J.C. has that knack and is the guy that likes to stay in the pocket and kill defenses.

We have to be able to contain him (Johnson). He's a fast quarterback, he's young, but he's a great athlete. So we just have to be able to contain him and not let him get outside.

[Quarterback Jack McBride, Chris'cousin, struggled at times against Pequannock but is improving on a daily basis.] He has really solidified himself at quarterback, ... He made a couple of blunders, but he showed leadership ability and is a tremendous athlete and will only get better. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection.

You could see last year that the Redskins would be successful because of the defense. You just didn't know when it would click offensively. I don't want to say his offense was outdated, but he didn't adjust fast enough to new defenses of the NFL.

It's an early season loss. We didn't deserve to win. Iowa State did the things necessary to be victorious and we didn't. We have to move on and we have to move on fast.

He constantly wants people to think he's a quarterback. He's a quarterback that's athletic, not an athlete that's a quarterback.

We got a little bit excited and we didn't do exactly what we practiced. They've got so many weapons and they change the defenses so fast and we just kind of got run down.
