Bill and Sheila at Plano Senior have done a wonderful job.

With the Texas Teacher of the Year (Karen Shepherd of Plano Senior High School) right here in Plano ISD, a Texas theme is most appropriate.

It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. I think that Plano has been in growth mode so long, people came from all over. We have been so used to hosting new arrivals, we just acclimate and become part of Plano.

I couldn't have landed in a better situation. I love these guys and I'm glad I'm at Plano. It's going to be an honor to go and represent Plano.

I heard a lot of the people talk about how grateful they were that Plano opened up their arms to them, found them housing and how well Plano has treated them.

It was especially hard on my oldest (Thomas III). I don't think for a while there was hardly an article written on him which didn't mention my name. It finally got to the point in his senior year at Plano where it was all about him.

That's great for Plano. It shows how much basketball talent we have in Plano.

Since I've been here at Plano East, this is the largest senior group we've had. It's the largest number of signings we've had as well.

In most hospitals, paging Nurse Flamingo means a fire. Dr. Blaze means a fire. Dr. Green means a suicide. Dr. Blue means somebody stopped breathing. Nothing is straight forward anymore. In a grocery store, paging Mr. Cash is a call for an armed security guard. Paging "Freight check to Women's Clothing" means somebody is shoplifting in that department. Other stores page a fake woman named Sheila. "Sheila to the front" means somebody is shoplifting in the front of the store. Mr. Cash and Sheila and Nurse Flamingo are always bad news. It's what people say when they don't want you to hear the truth.
