It's not that often you see a contract settle without concessions in this day and age. (At the last Central Labor Council meeting) someone reported that a union took a wage freeze but kept their health insurance. Today that's a win.

The union better be prepared to go through another round of negotiations now. Everybody needs to contribute to keeping cost under control and getting GM turned around -- executives, investors and the salaried and union employees.

It just seemed so odd that someone in a city that had both Union and Confederate soldiers — including a recipient of the Union Medal of Honor — would claim to be involved in the Lincoln assassination. What would be the motive for claiming that? To get yourself killed?
