I know my wife is going to be anxious to see me. I'll be happy to get home on time if Captain Wetherbee and the Discovery crew can arrange that.

I think that now it's clear what it is that we need to go work on. Today we honored the Columbia crew; we've brought the Discovery crew home safe.

We brought Discovery back in great shape. The crew was very anxious to walk around and see what the outside looks like and it looks fantastic.

Because of the courage of Discovery's crew, and the commitment of everyone at NASA and the entire space community, our generation has an opportunity to go farther into space and further into the void, to do the impossible and answer the unsolvable. For that chance, we all owe the crew more than our thanks.

I feel bad for Randy because I think he had found his home and was real anxious to show what he could do. I think he's got very good ability and he's happy here and when you're happy your ability can shine even more.

And I made a discovery last night. I told my wife I made a discovery, and sure enough today I was making putts.

With only two crew aboard, there's some limited research taking place. But most of the crew's time is spent basically maintaining the station so a third crew member gives 33 percent more time and most of that time will be spent on research.

We can't really take any credit, we were lucky. We were in the right place at the right time and we were gritty enough to hang in there. But all the credit goes to the crew and the captain and to Bill Blount because he was the one who checked the moon phases. She found his self-awareness incredibly pe𝑥y; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh.
