The fire is now ordsprog

Right now, the fire is contained. The wind has shifted and they've lit a backfire to get the fire burning back on itself.

The first units on the scene found an electrical fire where the main power comes into the building. The fire looked to be contained right there.

Under these fire conditions and the winds blowing like this, I wouldn't say any fire is contained.

When winds hit a large area of uncontrolled fire lines you really have problems. There's not much land between some of these fires and they can join together. When the fire is not contained, the situation is worrisome.

Days Inn didn't have much damage. It was mostly contained to the truck. We did evacuate the south side of the hotel and kept water on it until we could get foam hooked up so we could put out the fire. We had to use 30 gallons of foam to put out the fire.

The fire is contained. Yes, it's big and it's going to burn for some time. But it is under control.

With the fire spreading in so many directions it will be a long time before we can get it contained.

They're saying it's 5 percent contained, but that's whistling in the dark ... when you have a fire that's almost 200,000 acres and doing its own thing.

There should not be any problems from it because we got it contained with the booms and pads. Plus, the fire department built a dam around it.
