They got momentum right away and I really thought our mindset hurt us. We were all of sudden playing not to lose. At halftime we said we need to turn that around and try to be the aggressor.

Typically, the aggressor gets the call, and I think that's what happened. We were a little disappointed in the foul shots. But like I said, the aggressor typically gets the calls, and we were not the aggressor.

I think he did lose his footing somewhere in the turn because as I was coming around the turn I saw that I had to hold out a little bit for the distance and all of a sudden it was very long. Something happened just as I went to commit to the fence. It's been a long circuit and there's not a lot of grass out there so he had a little slip and under the lights it's a little spooky and he lost a little heart out there. But he's never done that before.

It was really surreal when we were sitting in the fourth quarter and we were down by two scores, and you think you're going to win. You're playing a team that has won 34 straight games, and momentum is turning, and your defense is struggling. But we never thought we would lose the ballgame.

It was never a part of my mindset, thinking that we were ever going to lose. I never thought of it that way, but it was more like we have to go on a run right now. We have to make something go our way right now.

Yeah, it is frustrating. But there is some good with it. When you move the ball 80 yards on your first drive, and all of a sudden you're on the 1-yard line, and all of a sudden you lose your momentum like we did. When you go against a good defense and you're in long-yardage situations, you're going to be in for a long day, so you can't stop yourself. We're going to play a lot of good defensive football teams this year, so we'd better pick it up. If we don't, then we're going to be inconsistent like we have been the past two weeks.

We all know if this team was full strength, what the outcome probably would have been. But for me, I think what sticks out the most is just the heart of players going out there hurt. Granted, things didn't turn out the way we wanted, but to me, I'm thinking about playing hurt [as opposed to] not playing at all. For guys to go out there and show heart, what more can you ask for?

We competed exceptionally hard the first half and so did Pontiac. At halftime we talked about being the aggressor and being tougher physically.

They hit enough. At that point you can't play trade-off. We've got to be outscoring them all the way through if we're going to be successful. If we could have cut that (lead) to single digits, that would have been the ideal because at that point they're going to start getting worried. And what you're always hoping a team will do (in that situation) is shift their mindset from playing to win to playing not to lose.

He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. We're going in (at halftime) with our heads up and excited, while Macomb was kind of down a little bit. We wanted to come out with that momentum in the second half and I thought we did that.

I thought we were just a little off all night, and that was just another example of that. When we thought we could turn this thing around and change the momentum, we weren't able to.

We are playing with pride. We have a lot of young guys in here trying to make an impression. We had some momentum going there. I thought we carried the whole third period. It was good to get the momentum, but tough to get it taken away like that.

(PHU) had a number of chances in the first half but I thought we did a good job to keep it 0-0. But that quick goal out of halftime hurt.

Really, I thought we had the momentum going into the overtime. I thought we were being really aggressive and they might have had one or two shots in the last 15 minutes of regulation. Obviously, it's a tough way to lose.

In the first half, I thought [Moore] was good but then I think he got tired. Here's a guy used to playing 12-13 minutes a game and all of a sudden he's playing 38.
