It was a great game. Dave Dickenson came in [at quarterback] after halftime. One more possession and it could have been a different outcome.

In B.C., Dave Dickenson has the ability to make others around him look good. He's not the most agile guy but agile enough. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. He knows where he's trying to go [with the football] and only needs a few steps [to elude a pass rush].

It's great to sit and learn, and it's great to get in there and get experience, ... I don't think there's a right or wrong way to do it. It depends on what the team needs. Dave's situation: They didn't have a quarterback, so he had to play.

I think that's what you're going to see down the stretch, that each and every possession is important to the outcome of the game.

There were mistakes (against Maryland) that we could have controlled. When we executed well, we got some great looks. There were a couple breakdowns and in a one-possession game you have to win every possession.

We said at halftime that this game wasn't over, that they had a quarterback who could pass them back into it. After the runback, it was our game.

Dave was a great teammate. He was probably the most skilled player on the team. Whenever I scored a goal, it seemed as though it was always on a great pass from Dave.

I would say one possession here or there was going to determine the outcome of this ballgame for either team. I thought both teams laid it on the line, put great effort out there to make things happen.

He's not an athlete playing quarterback. He's a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete. He reads defenses as well as any quarterback in the country. You never hear about that part of his game.

In the first half they did a great job containing us and we made a couple adjustments at halftime. We would get the quarterback (going) and get Weinstein outside a little bit and that kind of helped us.

It was a tough game and was going back and forth. You can look at the stats and the possession could have said 99 to 1 for Sierra Leone, but we weren't going to stop until the final whistle blew. That's what we said we were going to do at halftime. Any mistake they had we were just going to pounce on them.

Reading the quarterback is a simple thing. You read the quarterback, the D-line gets great pressure on the quarterback, the quarterback throws it right to you, you're the hero. That's always fun.

It took us a while to get rolling, but after halftime we pressed it a little and got some big plays. Defensively, we did a very nice job. We hoped we could shut down their running game and get some pressure on the quarterback.

I believe each one has the ability to win 50-50 balls. If they don't win the ball, they do a great job of containing. The rotation and replacing one another is almost second nature now. I also think a good defense can feed off a strong possession game. Our halfbacks are doing a really nice job of controlling and maintaining possession of the ball.
