Rich had a tough ordsprog

Rich had a tough shooting night during the first part and then he went inside and got a couple of big baskets. That was important for us.

We had the ball inside and they took it from us. Pops had a couple of shots inside -- dunks he usually makes and he missed them. That really affected our shooting percentage. A large part of that had to do with their defense.

We wanted to go inside to Liz. We just couldn't get it in there. And we had a tough night shooting from the outside.

We weren't as consistent as we should be. It was a lot better than (Wednesday) night. We got some easy baskets inside to the point that they started double-teaming Leah. We really didn't go back to that. That's a little of our inexperience. Give Ashland credit. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. They played some tough defense and made it tough on our guards.

I think a couple of those baskets when we started the second half were kind of like inside baskets, where we stretching a little bit and then going. I thought we weren't as impatient as we had been earlier in the game.

It was tough. I was trying to establish that inside part of the plate. If I can get in there for strikes, I'm usually pretty successful. I don't know if they were missing by a couple inches or what, but I just couldn't nail that inside corner like I usually do.

It was important that we came out and got the first couple of baskets to start the second half. We got a few breaks and the ball went our way and we got some easy baskets.

We always want to establish our inside game. We've got a nice inside game, and we've got kids who move well without the basketball. Our guards make the passes inside, and we get some easy baskets. When we shoot well, we're pretty tough.

Merle Olberding

She hit some threes and she hit a couple baskets inside for us, too. She's really gotten better this year at starting inside and working her way out to the three-point line, and that makes her tougher to guard.

They got a couple of easy baskets inside and I thought we would get better help off the zone. In the second half, they did a better job off the high post. They didn't give us any easy shots inside.

We just had a tough shooting night. We got all the shots that we wanted, but they just didn't go down. If we really won a game like that shooting as poorly as we did, that would have been one of the more impressive wins this season.

We had a tough night shooting and I think when the season started we expected to have a night like that.

I have a tough job every night. You can't truly stop anybody in this league. I just try to get in the other shooting guard's head and make everything tough.

He does a good job night in and night out. Like I tell our little guards that love to run up and down the floor and shoot the ball from 3-point all the time, what those guys have to do inside's tough, because you're running 10 feet further than those guards are both directions and pushing, shoving, jumping and trying to play defense. That's physically a tough game.

I've modeled a lot of what I've tried to do in this business after him, and he's been very supportive and helpful to me. The rich history of this night and what it has meant historically to broadcast television is important to me ... To be live that night with the big guys, if you will, is great.
