en We weren't as consistent as we should be. It was a lot better than (Wednesday) night. We got some easy baskets inside to the point that they started double-teaming Leah. We really didn't go back to that. That's a little of our inexperience. Give Ashland credit. They played some tough defense and made it tough on our guards.

en He does a good job night in and night out. Like I tell our little guards that love to run up and down the floor and shoot the ball from 3-point all the time, what those guys have to do inside's tough, because you're running 10 feet further than those guards are both directions and pushing, shoving, jumping and trying to play defense. That's physically a tough game.

en I think it had to be a little frustrating for them. But you have to give us some credit, too. We did a good job on defense, especially down the stretch. It was a tough shooting night for both of us. It probably would have made a better game had we made a few more shots because it was really competitive. It just came down to who made the plays when they needed to make them. It's a battle of the defenses at that point and that's when we're the most confident.

en We always want to establish our inside game. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. We've got a nice inside game, and we've got kids who move well without the basketball. Our guards make the passes inside, and we get some easy baskets. When we shoot well, we're pretty tough.

en We just didn't ever get started and it started with defense. I didn't think we played a real aggressive defensive game tonight. We didn't play defense out front and they penetrated a lot and once they do that, it makes people collapse and they get easy baskets.

en The one thing I didn't want was a double play. He made his pitch. He beat me inside. They throw tough guys at you. In the seven, eight, and nine, it's tough against them. You've got to get them early.

en We didn't shoot the ball well enough. We went 1-for-12 from the 3-point line. And when you're not making baskets, it gets tough to keep constantly going back and playing defense.

en We started off great, but we couldn't stay consistent. We go through droughts because we're still a young team trying to figure out how to score against tough defense. Even though we were ahead, I didn't like the flow of the game. We were trading baskets with Lehigh and you can't do that. I knew we needed to clamp down.

We knew if we sagged back on her, they could wear us out with their 3-point shooting. But as it turns out, it was six of one and half dozen of another. We were in a tough spot no matter what we did.

en I think we did a good job sticking to the game plan we started with. The kids came out and played. We weren't really concentrating on 3-pointers. We wanted to go inside and get easy baskets.

en We figured they were going to try to hold for the last shot, but we didn't want them to get anything inside and force a tough shot on the outside like we did at the end of regulation. Give them credit. They made a heck of a play. Our guys played their hearts out, and I couldn't be more proud of them. Dave was tremendous, but I think all our guys deserve credit tonight. It was a heck of a game, and I have nothing but respect for St. Edward.

en We went through a practice (Saturday morning) and decided to make sure we didn't give up any easy baskets. Our guys pulled out a track meet tonight, by hustling back on defense. We just didn't give up any easy shots.

en I played a really solid match. I started well, hit the ball well and didn't miss much. It was tough for Tommy, I didn't give him any easy balls.
